Products sold by Element ComputersTM are covered by our 7-day return, 30-day exchange period (from the date your product was delivered), unless otherwise noted. Policies regarding items that are not covered by the return period are specified on the individual product pages as well as in the special exceptions section below.

 

For issues/returns on items over 30 days old, please refer to the product manufacturer.

 

Do you need to return a product?

 

Please complete the form below, and a representative from Element ComputersTM will issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The RMA number issued by Element ComputersTM must accompany all returns. Packages that arrive without the RMA number clearly written on the outside of the box will be returned directly to you.

 

RMA numbers must be obtained no later than 30 days from the date your product was delivered. After 30 days, all product returns must be handled directly by the manufacturer or warranty provider.

 

All RMA numbers are valid for 10 days from the date of issuance.

 

Please allow 1-2 weeks for all refunds.

 


 

PRODUCT CONDITION

 

All products must be returned in like-new condition, including original packaging, all documentation and accessories. No credit will be issued if there are any missing parts, documentation, packaging, accessories or if any other component of the purchased product is missing.

 

If physical damage to your order happens during transit, please keep all the shipping boxes and contact Element ComputersTM immediately.  The shipping company will need to inspect all packaging to determine if the damage occurred during transit.  The shipping company will issue a credit to Element ComputersTM based on their determination.  At that time, the situation with your damaged product can be resolved.  If you notice that the packaging of your order is heavily damaged, and have reasonable concern about the packages contents; do not open the package.  Reject the package immediately and have the shipment company return the unopened box back to Element ComputersTM.  A new package will be issued to you.

 

All returns must be shipped freight prepaid.

 

All related fees (shipping & return shipping fees) are NON-REFUNDABLE for all products in all cases.

 

Products that are defective can only be returned for repair/replacement.

 

Products with missing or altered serial numbers, product keys or UPC Codes are not eligible for refunds or returns.

 

Element ComputersTM will not accept items for return or refund that have been physically damaged, misused, abused, or items experiencing problems due to electrical power and/or lack of proper surge protection.

 


 

RESTOCKING FEES

 

A 15% Restocking Fee applies to all refunds in which the opened product is non-defective.  In other words, if you are returning an opened product because you changed your mind, you will be charged the 15% Restocking Fee.  Additionally, if you purchased a product that you didn't research properly, tried it out and decided that you don't want it, the 15% Restocking Fee will also be applied.  If the product is defective due to the manufacturer, no restocking fee will be collected, a replacement item of equal or greater value will be shipped.

 

The following information applies to customers within the State of California:  Any taxes refunded on your purchase will be calculated based on the final refund amount, minus the 15% restocking fee, not the original purchase price. DESKTOP AND NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS

 

Unless the product is defective or the return is a direct result of an error by Element ComputersTM, a restocking fee of 15% may be charged on hardware, accessories, peripherals, parts and unopened software (sealed in original packaging). The Desktop and Notebook return policy is a 7-day return, 30-day exchange period (from the date your product was delivered). Please see our Tech Support/Warranty details online, or on your receipt for additional information on our warranties.

 


 

NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

 

CPU's:  Once a CPU has been installed, it is no longer returnable unless defective. Overclocking or improper installation of CPU fans will cause damage to CPU chips. All damaged CPU's are not eligible for replacement or refund.

 

NO REFUND or RETURNS are accepted for the following items:

  • CDR, CDRW, DVD-R, DVD+R or any other open Media

  • Digital Cameras are not eligible for return once the packaging has been opened.

  • Opened Software

  • Opened Ink Cartridges

  • Opened Toner Cartridges

  • Printers are not eligible for return once the cartridges have been installed.

  • Opened Printer Ribbons

  • Opened Paper/Label Products

  • Opened Cleaning Products

Write your RMA number legibly on the outside of the shipping box.
